I am a white guy. Let's get that out of the way.
Another thing to get out of the way, is that the video is not racist/sexist in the least. It's merely bringing up that white men should be less racist/sexist in the New Year, but *gasp* if you tell white men not to persecute anyone, that means that you're a horrible person! I know that not all men are sexist/racist, I know I'm not, but there's clearly something wrong in society when a girl could flip the finger accidentally in a blur of emotion and get severely punished (link), but men can go around raping women and won't be punished in the slightest (link). I would see the video as being racist if white men truly were the ones being targeted all the time, but they're not.
Of course, if you were to watch this video with the thought that white men were constantly being punished for no wrongdoing in society, being persecuted for the color of their skin every day, and being actually hated more than blacks, but that's not the case whatsoever. White men/conservatives like to think that the only hatred in the world is the hatred that is targeted towards them, and any form of racism/sexism/any other kind of bigotry in the world doesn't exist, or can be explained and dismissed with the flip of a wrist. That's not the case.
That's a pretty good way to put it, from Dear White People (2013), if you don't feel the need to read this great article by Zeba Blay that you can find here. It's probably one of the best articles that I have found on such a controversial topic, and is filled with wisdom and advice for people who aren't following it already. Read it. No matter what race you are, which political party you stand with, no matter what sex you are, read it.
