Respecting opinions

The headline of this post would probably make you think that I am the victim of disrespect for my opinion and that I'm going to be this whiny, hypocritical bitch that would say: "I won't respect your opinion but I demand you to respect mine!" No. Everyone's a hypocrite, but I try my hardest not to be. Today, I will talk, yet again, about opinions, this time in a Q&A form. :)

Are religions considered opinions?

Religions are defined as the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods. I don't like it when people say that atheism is a religion, because, obviously, it's not, but that's beside the point. Yes, religions are technically opinions. They are the opinion that a superhuman exists, and that opinion is shared by any number of people. Any person can create their own religion just by simply making up their own god and genuinely believing in it. Ken Ham once said that evolutionism is it's own religion, and it's being forced upon kids in school, but, obviously, evolution doesn't say anything about having to worship Spiderman in order to believe that natural selection happened. Science and religion are two different things. Politics and religion are two different things. People need to stop referring to evolutionism and liberalism as religions. Religions are religions. It may sound like a dumb statement, but, clearly, there are people that need to hear it.
So, yes, in the end, religions are just opinions.
Truth, in the matters of religion, is simply the opinion that has survived. ~Oscar Wilde

If someone says that their opinion is that Trump should be dead, should you still respect their opinion?

I respect all opinions, but if your opinion involves hatred, threats, or disrespecting others, I will not respect it.
Look.
Trump is a terrible person, but he's still a human being! Sure, his opinions are hateful and targets people, and I sure as hell won't respect them, but he's still a human, and you should respect that! If he has literally killed dozens of people, yeah, I can see why you would want him dead, but, as far as we know, he hasn't. You shouldn't respect his opinions or support them, but you should at least respect his humanity. I support most of the Trump protesters, not only because I don't like him anyways, but I also think that, as long as they don't try to assassinate him or want him dead. Some have wished bad things upon him and his family, and I don't support them, hence, why I said that I support most of the protesters. Opinions are opinion until hatred is one of them.

What do you hate?

I don't truly hate anything. I am completely against hate. I mean, I could say that I hate haters, but that would be contradictory and incompatible. You shouldn't hate haters, anyways, or else you just spread more hate and start a war between who hates each other more. "Hate" is a strong word and is thrown around so much, especially by people who have been targeted by it. True hate is when you cannot find any redeeming qualities about a certain thing, when you have absolutely no love for it whatsoever. I could say that I "hate" Christianity, but I can find some redeemable qualities and you need to respect it because its core message isn't hate, as much as people think it is. The Christians themselves are the ones who spread it, not their beliefs. Christianity's core message (this may vary) is, vaguely, to live a good life, love others and God, and you will be rewarded after you die. It's comforting, even with its falsity.
I also could say that I "hate" terrorism, but terrorists could see my undying hatred towards them and target me, so...
I could say that I "hate" Hitler, but, like every other human being, he had good things about him, and bad things. He was a really good artist, set up the first "stop smoking" campaign, boosted Germany's power and economy, took away any unemployment, respected women, loved animals and the environment, and was a lover of music and literature. Of course, he was mostly a bad person, but, as I said before, there's good and bad things about everyone. Both Hitler and Mother Teresa were the same religion, read the same Bible, and both did good and bad things for their respected fields. Yes, one is clearly better than the other, but you need to see good and bad things about each person.
I never say that I "hate" something. Ever. I always say that I "don't like" something. I know that some people truly hate me, but do I hate them back? No. I can speak from experience that if you're strangely nice to haters, they'll get fed up and ignore you, lowering the hatred you receive. It's comical to see them get frustrated at your kindness because, as everyone knows, love trumps hate.

What are your thoughts on abortion?

I am male, but I do have some thoughts on women's rights. I think that if women got an unwanted pregnancy, I think that they should have every right to terminate the pregnancy. I don't necessarily support abortion itself, because it's a hard time for the woman and can be psychologically difficult, but I do believe in the right that a woman has to decide whether or not she wants to have a child.
Yes, it technically is murder, but so is eating meat, and you don't see republicans going around preaching against eating meat, do you. No. You don't. Our lives are no more sacred than a cows.

"Ah, atheists," Christians say, "they think murder is okay! Look, spawn! LookLook at their sinful ways!"

I don't think that murder is okay, but, I think that if a killing isn't intentional, unreasonable and hate-triggered, then it's justified in some way. If it meets all three criteria, then that person should be prosecuted. We don't kill animals out of hate, we kill them because we like the meat. I have often considered whether or not I should become a vegetarian, but then I always think about what I would do without it. I love the taste of beef and pork. I hate white meat, to be honest, mostly because we butcher a lot of meat ourselves, so I'm constantly being exposed to scales and bones in the fish and feathers and skin in the poultry. It's sickening.
As with animals, women don't kill fetuses out of hate, and they have reasons, whether they don't have the money or otherwise. All of my unmarried conservative sisters said that if they ever get pregnant out of wedlock, they'll sure as hell get an abortion because mom would be furious. They wouldn't do it out of hate, but out of fear. Women don't get pregnant just so that they'd have a baby to kill, as much as Christians will say.
Conservatives will preserve babies while they're in the womb, and protect them with all of their might, yet, once it's born and people care about it, then they will subject them to impoverished homes, starvation, and terror, then, once they're adults, they'll ship them off to war and kill them off in the sake of killing. But, since they do that all in the name of Lawd Jaysus (🙏🙌) it's completely A-okay and Gawd blesses them so much!!! "Oh, puh-rayyyse our Lawd for letting us kill off all of this precious life that we worked so hard to preserve but then they were born and they weren't worth anything anymore!!!"
So, in the end, yes, I am pro-choice.

In conclusion

Anyone's views are controversial in one way or another, but I base my views off of what is morally right and would further benefit society and how we treat one another. I wouldn't believe in something if I didn't think it was right, but I wish that people would see things from all perspectives and think about how their actions affect one another. I, as a white man, acknowledge the discrimination and hate that blacks and women get on a day-to-day basis. Conservative Christians only acknowledge hatred when they are the ones being hated on, and they can persecute and discriminate people all they want but as soon as they are the targets then "How dare you! If you hate me, then you hate our Dear Lawd Jaysus" and stuff like that. While trying to define myself as who I am earlier this year, I noticed how hypocritical republican logic is and how filled with prejudice they are. The Republican basis is that people should have freedom and liberty, yet, they are constantly the ones to take freedom and liberty away, and trying to get themselves the most power out of everyone else. Honestly, if it weren't for the behaviors of republicans, I may consider becoming one. But, republicans also say that progression is evil and I believe that we have a lot to progress upon--socially, scientifically, religiously, and politically--and that's the main turn-off about their basis's.
I'm sorry; I like to ramble. 😀
So, in conclusion, I chose my views based not only on my own thoughts, but based off of the world's needs, how they act, and what we need to support in order to eliminate hatred and turmoil.
