The Election (part two)

Geez. The election has been over for over a month, but it seems to have kept going.

Jill Stein decided to spend millions of dollars on a recount. My thoughts? Honestly, the election is done. The states that held recounts wouldn't have made a bit of difference anyways. If you are going to do a recount, do it in more crucial, neck-and-neck states or just raise enough money to do it nationwide. Even that would've been more logical on something that was just a waste of time and money. I mean, look; we're all terrified of what Trump will do. I'm sure that even Trump supporters are regretting their decision, especially based off of his cabinet choices. I mean, I'm trying my hardest to be respectful towards him and what he does, and every time I hear about him in the news, I think to myself: "what would I do if he were liberal? Would I defend him? Would I still not like him?" I always do that, you know. I like to think to myself (to make sure I'm being fair), would I think of someone differently if they thought differently? I mean, if Trump was democrat, I'd defend him with trying to get a cabinet member with ties to Russia. Why? Because democrats would actually try to help the situation, try to mend broken bonds, and to make peace. Trump thinks that Russia is completely harmless, and that's horrifying. He doesn't even think that Russia would do anything to sway the election! He thinks that Putin wouldn't hurt a fly. I think it's funny how during the election, Trump would constantly be saying that the election was rigged, but when it's proven that it was rigged, just in the opposite way he thought it would be, he completely denies it. Republicans will only acknowledge bad things if the bad thing was happening to them. "Racism? Well, I'm not the target of it, therefore, it doesn't exist!" And when you try to fix their racism, sexism, etc. or bring it to their attention, they'll condemn you for being racist, sexist, etc. because you're taking away their "right" to hate people.

Republicans continue to slam Hillary Clinton, even though she's out of the picture. My thoughts? As I said before: The election is done. Trump is now center-frame, so of course we'll be talking about him, but the only thing I've heard about Hillary is that she's been hiking in the woods or something. There's still a ton of conspiracy theories on her, for no reason whatsoever! At least during the election, people who were spreading lies about her had reasons to do so! They just wanted a man to run our country because that's the way it has been, and they're just conserving what our Founding Fathers would've wanted, hence, "conservative." I'm still hearing about fake news, conspiracy theories, and click-bait articles. I mean, you got what you wanted, conservatives! Aren't you happy? No. They're never happy. When they get what they wanted, they always need to have more. If they have money, they want more money. If they have power, they want more power. If they get a bigot in the White House, they miss hating on liberals so they find ways to do so, like making fun of people crying and people protesting against Trump. I'm still seeing things like "FBI DIRECTOR FOUND DEAD IN HIS MANSION" or "HILLARY LAUGHS AT 12 YR OLD RAPE VICTIM! SEE HER RESPONSE!" There's no reason for anything like that. If it were the other way around, I'd just ignore Trump's existence and try to make believe that this never happened and just rejoice that we got another democrat in the Oval Office. But, conservatives aren't satisfied, as I said before.

I supported (most of) the protesters. Why? Because Trump is a horrible person, with little to no redeemable qualities, and he shouldn't be in the White House at all. It's funny (and scary, too) how a reality TV star who decided to run for president as a publicity stunt actually became president. However, the protests clearly didn't work, so now it's time to stop trying to change the results of the election. We need to deal with him for the next four years, and, hopefully, we can do better in 2020, if we even have a country left.
