Clinton won the popular votes.
Trump is the president.
That's all you need to know.
So, here are my thoughts.
I didn't want Hillary to win, but I also wanted Trump to lose. He is one of the least-qualified Americans to be president, and most of America agreed, but the electoral college thought otherwise. I almost cried when I saw that he won. It wasn't because I was a sore loser, nor was it because I loved Hillary. It was because I legitimately feared what the fate of the country could be. Families being tore apart, a giant wall being built, the world literally ending because of nuclear war. Those things. Not only will Trump try to bring America back to a time without women's rights, without marriage equality, without Planned Parenthood, but he will also make sure that the rich will get richer and the poorer will get poorer. I am terrified of what our country to turn into. It seems like the plot of a dystopian novel, where everything is corrupt, the people are in fear, and everything that could go bad will go bad.
So, those are the reasons that I don't like him. But will I whine and demand a recount, only to find out that Trump really is the one that America has chosen? No. I will suck it up, and hope that if we have a country in four years, we can do better. This isn't the first time that a woman tried her best, was the best, and failed, anyways. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, but that light would take us four years to get to, and the tunnel is most likely to collapse.
